Freedom in Christ Course

This course is now finished. Please get in touch with one of the leaders if you would like to take part in another.

We are running a Freedom in Christ course at the Kirk. The first session is on Sunday 28th January at 7pm.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at the Freedom In Christ course. It’s a course that tens of thousands of people have really appreciated and we’re excited to be running it.

The sessions will be very straightforward. We’ll simply watch a DVD and discuss some of the points raised together. It will be great fun.

There are some things you can do to get the most out of the course:

You will probably find it helpful to have a look at Freedom In Christ’s website, To get the most from it, register on the site making sure you say that you are a Discipleship Course participant. That gives you access to a special section of the site (look for “Course Participants Section” in the “Your Access Privileges” menu in the right hand column once you have registered). You’ll find some helpful information on the course there and will also be able to browse a forum specifically for course participants. If you want to, you can then go on to join in the discussions on the forum after each session with participants from around the world. You can also, if you want to, sign up for a really helpful Daily Devotional e-mail and a monthly prayer and news e-mail from FIC.

Towards the end of the course we’ll be going through The Steps To Freedom In Christ, the part of the course when you will get an opportunity – just between you and God – to do business with what you learn. You’ll find it a gentle, relaxed day but many report that it was fundamental in helping them really take hold of what is taught. Don’t miss it!

Steve Goss, co-author of the course and presenter of the DVD, has written four slim books to accompany the course. It is not essential that you read them but you would probably find it helpful to do so. Others report that they really help you get hold of what is taught by covering the same ground in a different way and reinforcing it. They are good value and we recommend them to you. We may have a few available for you to purchase if you want to. You can see information here:
